Foundations supports transitional aged youth with intellectual disabilities to build knowledge and skills to start making informed decisions regarding work, recreation and leisure, life-long learning and volunteer opportunities available in the community.

By planning earlier, young people and their needs and aspirations become known to the broader community so that better service planning takes place. Through planning, young adults, and their families, can gain knowledge of the choices that exist in the community and begin to make decisions and take steps now that will ensure a less stressful transition upon completion of their school careers.
